Samsung GalaxyNote 8 vs iPhone X, Which is The Best? - Apple has just introduced the iPhone X is touted as a marker of iPhone's gait over the past decade. Cupertino origin company was also pinned a number of flagship features on this Smartphone.
One of them is
dual optical image stabilization (OIS) support in both main lenses, each of
which serves as a wide angle lens with f / 1.8 and tale openings with f / 2.4
openings.
Similar system is
already used Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The main camera of this device consists of
a wide lens f / 1.7 openings and f / 2.4 open telephoto lens. So, what about
the camera capabilities between the two flagship products?
On paper, both
cameras actually have a capability that is not much different considering the
specification of openings that carried each lens. Both the iPhone X and Galaxy
Note 8 also already support optical and digital zoom capabilities.
The iPhone X camera
has digital zoom capability up to 10x for photos and 6x for video. While Note 8
is able to do 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. Armed with these
capabilities, both cameras can take pictures from a distance.
Then, for the
needs of shooting with portrait mode, both have also done that. Samsung calls
this capability a Live Focus, while Apple calls it Portrait Mode.
This capability
allows the user to capture an object image with a depth-of-field effect or
commonly referred to as a booker effect with a blurred background.
Lighting Setup Features
Especially for the
Galaxy Note 8, Samsung allows users to adjust the blur level or focus behind
the object like how the DSLR cameras work.
As for Apple's
buried Portrait Lighting capabilities that allow users to set the lighting.
This feature combines software and hardware capabilities, including facial
mapping to create multiple effects.
Seeing the
capabilities and specifications carried, the two devices actually have almost
equal ability. However, further testing is needed to determine the capability
of each device.
